Helping you feel comfortable and building trust form the foundation of the work we have ahead of us.

I encourage open communication and genuineness to ensure that we are on the same page as we establish goals and determine the pace at which you feel comfortable exploring current and past stressors.

Working towards your goals happens one session at a time. I like to begin each session by collaborating on an "agenda" so that we can maximize our time together. I use your individual goals and my professional experience to guide the process.

As a strengths-based clinician who uses in scientifically-grounded approaches, I will work with you to explore your existing talents, interests and abilities, while introducing you to new skills, techniques, and perspectives. I have trusted in techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to help my past clients in challenging circumstances like substance abuse and self harm see real change.

I work with adults, adolescents, and children as young as 3. With younger clients, I believe parental involvement in sessions is crucial for sustained progress. With adolescents, I invite a discussion about the preferred level of parental involvement within the first session so clients and family members are in agreement from the beginning. With adults, I typically seek a balance of exploring your past and working towards a contented and fulfilling future. I provide individual therapy, couples counseling and family therapy.
